When you arrive to Captain Jack’s, please find the Tournament Bracket Board and get your team signed in and submit your completed Waiver forms.
Captain Jack’s will open for Business at 9:00am on Saturday morning. They do serve breakfast if your looking for something to eat prior to playing! Of course there’s the Bloody Mary’s and screwdrivers to chase away Friday Night’s Jag Bombs….
Parking can be a challenge. Make sure not to park in no parking zones on the streets. They **DO** tow if the neighbors complain so it’s at your own risk. People **ARE** driving on the ice if you decide to park on the lake, but this is also at your own risk. Make sure not to park on the playing fields, etc…
Please collect and bring your signed waiver forms (also attached) and be ready to play at your designated times. We will be sounding a horn or something along those lines to signal when games should start and approximately when you should play out the last inning. Please be at your fields and ready to play right away to make sure you get a full game in. We don’t intend to let games extend into the next hour because of a late start.
At the end of each game, team captains should report to the bracket board to get it updated and find out when your next game is.
Remember that you only field 9 players. You DON’T field a pitcher as each team pitches to itself. This is a one pitch tournament with 1 courtesy foul. 7 innings. IF the pitcher touches a live ball, the batter is automatically out.
Also - bring your bats! I don’t recommend you unwrap the brand new Miken to play in the snow, but if you have an old beater, I recommend you bring it.
Keep in mind the spirit of the tournament is to have fun. Be competitive and have fun…don’t be a dickhead.
